A United Way agency since 1951, the Westside Community Center has historically served the needs of the residents of the west side of town. In recent years, however, the focus of the Center has expanded to become an integral part of the network of service organizations that meet the needs of the entire community. Our programs and services, below, motivate and build character as well as provide education and recreation:

Westside Senior Citizens Center

The E.K. Thomas Center, located at 500 S. Cass behind the Westside Community Center, exists to address the health, social, legal, safety and economic challenges facing the elderly in our community. The Center provides a place where Seniors can remain a vibrant part of the community through activities, services, and volunteer efforts. Currently presiding as President of the Senior Group is Mrs. Teressa Grayson and Ms. Charlesetta Johnson, Vice President.



Monday Night Yoga

Lisa Roll offers a low-stress yoga class once a month on Monday evenings, 5:30-6:30 PM. Drop-ins welcome! Call the Center for more information.
